Bob started flying in 1972 and has been flying aerobatics since 1981. He started competing in IAC events at the Sportsman level in 1985. Over the following 33 years he moved up through the ranks of competition and flew on the US Unlimited Aerobatic Team in 2017 accomplishing a lifelong goal. He’s flown in 3 world championships, with his highest finish at the world level being 4th place in Slovenia in 2002. A two time cancer survivor, Bob has an inspirational story to share. Having spent the majority of his business life as a Mechanical Engineer in the data storage industry, with 14 patents, Bob has a strong STEM background with STEM knowledge to share. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering at the Missouri School of Science and Technology and retired as Chief Technologist from Seagate in 2016.
